Bike Project

This circa 1950’s Chain Bike Corp. (Later became the Ross Bike Company) bicycle was my inspiration for a custom advertising sign. I cleaned the bike keeping as much of the patina as possible and made it mechanically sound. The bike is all original with the exception of the following new parts: Hubs, spokes, rims, tires and the cool red and chrome chain. Rusted rivets were drilled out and replaced with stainless machine screws. The sign bracket was made from flat steel stock and brazed to the frame. The sign was cut from old weathered sheet steel.  A 10″ saw blade was used as a stencil and new vinyl decals were added.

If this inspires you to do something cool with an old bicycle or if you just want a “rustoration”,  contact me and I will be happy to work with you on a project.
